Teacher, Healer, Artist, Althea Knight, was born in London, England, raised in Canada and is of Jamaican descent. This cultural mixture was the predecessor to a life lived outside of one place, one way of being and doing. She is a seasoned traveller and explorer of other ways of doing and being, and has lived and worked all over the U.K., France, the U.S., Brazil, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, Canada and Slovenia in Eastern Europe, Jamaica, and Australia.

As early as she can remember, Althea has searched for the Divine within and outside of herself. This quest has lead her to move around the planet learning all she can about various ways of life in order to express herself and those who seek her assistance to express themselves more fully. Her life has been a passionate exploration of truth, mysticism, and healing.

Althea’s ancestry is one of healing, teaching and social change. Both of her grandfathers and her paternal grandmother were spiritual leaders in their communities. Her maternal grandfather also practiced the “laying of hands” healings on those who requested it. Each of her grandmothers were prophetic dream seers and highly intuitive. Teachers are numerous on both sides of the family. Her parents are both social justice activists with her mother having been the president of a women’s organization for social change while her father continues to address social inequities at all levels of government.

With over twenty years teaching experience in the public and private sector with both adults, youth, and children; and more than a decade facilitating workshops in cultural sensitivity and the healing arts, Althea is committed to personal development of herself and others. She has a Bachelors in Education, is a certified reflexologist, a reiki master, has studied Crystal Healing, Aromatherapy, Yoga, Tai Chi, Shiatsu, Vipassana Meditation, Integrated Energy Therapy (I.E.T.), Angel therapy, Spiritual Development, Metaphysics and Nutrition. Music and dancing hav been an integral part of Althea's life since she was a child and she continues to explore and expand these passions. Althea has also worked in theatre as a director and stage manager, and is also a visionary artist who has artwork in collections across North America and Europe.

She has worked with Metis and First Nation Healers to further her teachings and personal healing and has also participated in First Nation Blessing Ceremonies. She has trained with a Mexican Cuandera, Canadian and Brazilian mediums and trance-mediums, teachers of metaphysics and spent a year traveling, training and working in core and cellular transformational healing, with an Irish mystic healer. She has also spent time exploring and experiencing the ways of spiritual practices in Jamaica.
Althea is a spiritual intuitive, with clairvoyant and mediumistic skills who uses her special psychic gifts to enable others to move through their blocks in a gentle yet powerful loving manner. Empowering others to see what needs to be changed and supporting them in that process with love, laughter, and insight. She believes that we are all here to live a life we love and will do everything within her power to ensure that this is true for all those in search of their personal truth.

In love with this universe and her life here at this time, she feels blessed to contribute to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental growth of all those who request assistance.
